it was just yesterday . . . wasn’t it?

It felt just like yesterday that we were here with this blessing . . .

Tonight we were here . . . _DSC0014 - 1 Where has time gone? Okay, so it’s not her high school graduation, but they do a great job with their kindergarten graduation.

Today was Callie’s last day of school. With the last day of kindergarten also comes kindergarten graduation! It’s been a great year for Callie. She had grown, matured (slightly), learned so much, and made lots of new friends.

Here is Callie with her teacher, Mrs. Vietor. She loved Mrs. Vietor and grew so much being in her class. Mrs. Vietor pushed her to be confident in her abilities. We had much to adjust to when Mrs. Vietor had to leave suddenly in March to be with her husband when he was diagnosed with leukemia. It was a hard transition for all on many levels. Mrs. Vietor you were missed, loved, prayed for daily, and talked about often. I’m so glad that you were able to enjoy the last few weeks (on and off) with the kids._DSC0010 - 1

This is Mrs. L. She was Callie’s teacher whenever Mrs. Vietor wasn’t able to teach. It was great that the kids were able to have the same teacher instead of many different subs. She had some big shoes to fill and it was a hard position to come into in the middle of the year. I remember the first time that I met Mrs. L (it was a couple of days into her teaching with the kids) and I never would have guessed that she had just graduated from college! If she was shaking on the inside from all that was going on that first week she came on board, she sure didn’t show it! Then I soon found out she graduated from NWC in Orange City . . . well, that makes her even better!! {grin} Thanks Mrs. L for taking on a tough class. You did a great job! _DSC0085 - 1
