In mid-September we did two hog roasts and then finished the year off with another one in early October. As usual the guys were out early making sure that Mr. Pig was roasting to perfection! Of course there were a few helpers checking things out as well.
What I didn’t get pictures of was the October roast when I got up early with the guys and we fixed breakfast over the Coleman stove. Scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese, and salsa all rolled up in a tortilla. It all tastes SO much better when cooked and eaten outside! Great start to a big day! Almost 100 people showed up for the October roast! We set up a movie in the machine shed for the kids. Had one HUGE bonfire for everyone to enjoy. And plenty of food to go around!!
