8 Days of Fishing!!

I have a little catching up to do! The first weekend in June was a busy one for us. Roger left on that Friday with the camper and boat and headed out to North Point Campground by Pickstown, South Dakota. We stayed behind so that Callie could participate in the Kiddie Parade that is part of the Sioux Center Summer Celebration parade on Saturday evening. Callie was able to walk with a number of her preschool friends. It was a really warm June evening, but she enjoyed being a part of the parade in a different way this year. Normally we walk in the parade with Roger's company and throw candy. This year Callie participated early in the parade and then got to sit and watch and gather the candy that was thrown to her. She told me later that she like that a lot better than throwing it out to everyone! On Sunday morning the kids and I drove to the campground to camp and fish with Roger through Wednesday. We enjoyed a relaxing, uneventful time together as a family.

Of course some fishing had to happen! Below are my two beauties . . .

Zachary was very proud of daddy and his catch for the day!

Callie & Zachary love to be outside and really enjoyed the great weather we had. They really love each other too! The kids and I came home on Wednesday morning while Roger fished in the Hope Haven fishing tournament. He came home later that evening. Only to unpack everything clean the boat out (a little) and head back out Thursday morning at 3:30 for 3 more days of fishing!
