Self . . . it’s not a good idea to leave a 2 year old in a vehicle by himself. The simple fact that you turned off the vehicle is not enough. It’s best to take the keys out of the ignition and remove them from the vehicle when you get out of the vehicle. He isn’t aware that the buttons on the side of each door might actually lock you out. This time it worked to your advantage that the 2 year old just figured out how to open the doors from the inside by himself. You might not be so lucky next time. Next time he’ll know what he’s doing and he probably won’t open the door so quickly!
